Today, a predominant amount
of the existing fiber network’s voice and data
coming from Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the
Bronx and Staten Island connects through
Manhattan. This became abundantly evident in the
aftermath of 9/11. OCG will has solved this
problem, and provides true diversity.
The OCG “Manhattan BYPASS Network” includes
underwater access to New Haven, Connecticut from
Shoreham, Long Island on our eastern network.
On the western side OCG is in the process of
constructing, our own submarine fiber from
Brooklyn to Staten Island’s NY/NJ Port Authority
Teleport.
Exiting from the Teleport, we have extended our
network through Carteret, NJ to 165 Halsey
Street in Newark, NJ, a “Carrier Hotel” meeting
location for over 50 companies. |
